About Us

History

Our story starts way back in 2010...

Zadchlo International Foundation (ZIF) is a is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and non-religious organisation established in 2010 working to decrease the prevalence of some of Nigeria’s urgent, contemporary social and health challenges, by empowering individuals and groups from vulnerable populations – especially widows, outcasts, OVCs, and key populations – across targeted states in northern Nigeria with the resources and support services they need to mitigate the impact of these challenges in their lives and within their communities.

Zadchlo International Foundation  was registered as an Incorporated Trustee/Association with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2017 under the Company and Allied Matters Act of 1990, with registration number RC CAC/IT/NO 100857.

Our work particularly focuses on diseases of public health interest and Gender and Human Right Violation, Advocacy driven and policy change. However our primary focus is on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria), maternal and infant mortality, poor environmental sanitation, Gender based violence, water, sanitation and hygiene) and important social issues which directly affect many vulnerable communities (like poverty, youth unemployment, public health challenges, poor standard of education, drug abuse, juvenile crimes, and economic inequality) pivots around the design and implementation of diverse programs and interventions which helps to alleviate and ameliorate the impact which some of these social challenges have in the affected communities, especially among Female Sex workers and Women with disabilities.

OUR VISION: is a just, equitable, and livable/habitable society for individuals and groups from vulnerable populations/communities. We envisage a society where every single person, group or community enjoys the fullness of their right to life, dignity, and equality, devoid of poverty, injustice and social stigma on account of health, disability or socio-economic status.

OUR MISSION: To reduce the stigma, prejudice and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV/AIDS and Key Populations, and also to pursue social justice and tackle poverty as it relates to persons with disabilities, and victims of disasters and violence in line with the universal standards of human rights.
