Past Projects
1. ZIF in partnership with Plateau State chapter of NEPWHAN and KP Secretariat is currently implementing a community-led self-sponsored project aimed at reaching female sex workers community via virtual online space for increased demand creation and access to HIV and Gender and Human Right services in Plateau State. Different social media platforms and groups are managed by trained community members for the benefits of community members.
2. Zadchlo International Foundation (ZIF) currently partners with APIN Public Health Initiative, providing services for female sex workers (FSW) on the Accelerated Comprehensive AIDS Response for Epidemic Control and Sustainability (⍺CARES) project for the prevention, care and treatment of HIV/AIDS (ongoing).
3. ZIF implements the GF-RSSH C19-RM project for NEPWHAN and TB-NETWORK in Langtang North and Barkin-Ladi LGAs, Plateau State (2022 – Present). Through our community-led monitoring team (CLMT), it is ensured that duty bearers and health facilities are held accountable for client’s health outcome.
4. ZIF implemented the key populations (KPs) focused and KPs-led GF-NAHI project, for Society for Family Health in all 17 LGAs of Plateau State between July-December, 2023. ZIF was able to implement for the female sex workers (FSWs) community through testing, identifying and linkage of positive clients to care and their follow-up for adherence to treatment. Active involvement of FSW community members ensured the success of the project.
5. ZIF serving as sub-sub-recipient implemented the ‘Investing for impact Against Tuberculosis and HIV Project’, a Global Fund TB Program Grant for Civil Society for the Eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria (TBNETWORK) between July 2018– June 2019. We ensured that the communities of intervention had accurate knowledge of TB through community level advocacy, sensitization and mobilization and demand creation for TB/HIV services; identified all forms of TB cases through house-to-house search contact tracing, sputum collection and transportation; strengthened community linkages and coordination by collaboration with relevant stakeholders in our community of coverage.
6. ZIF purchased and distributed food items, hygiene kits, toiletries, utensils and blankets to IDPs in Kebbi state.
7. ZIF self-sponsored the distribution of food items and other relief and palliative materials to several groups facing hunger and malnutrition: 20 lactating mothers; 10 VVF patients; 20 HIV positive women; 10 GBV survivors and 10 Persons With Disabilities.
8. ZIF provided skills training in several trade areas with high income-generating potential: 15 women and girls in tailoring, 25 women in local confectionaries, 30 in liquid soap-making and pomade-making, and 15 in poultry farming and animal fattening.
9. ZIF self-sponsored the construction of latrines in Delombo community following an outbreak of Cholera, as a way of improving the sanitation and hygiene of the community.
10. ZIF provided palliative care and support to 50 women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Jos, Plateau state. This involved tracking, mobilization and monitoring those who had defaulted or given up on their treatment owing to trauma, stigma and discrimination, providing them with counseling, encouragement and support, and getting them to voluntarily recommit themselves and adhere to treatment and care.
